Idi Rayeuk – Vice Governor of Aceh, Fadhlullah SE (Dek Fadh), attended the commemoration of the Maulid (birthday) of Prophet Muhammad SAW along with the 15th Aceh Ulama Muzakarah held at Dayah Bustanul Huda, Alue Cek Doi Village, Julok District, East Aceh Regency, on Sunday (27/9/2026).
Dek Fadh’s presence at the event was part of a gathering with Islamic scholars (ulama), Islamic boarding school (dayah) leaders, community figures, and the people of East Aceh. This event also served as momentum to strengthen relations between the government and ulama in safeguarding Islamic values and the well-being of the Acehnese people.
The 15th Aceh Ulama Muzakarah provided a platform for Islamic scholars to connect, exchange views, and discuss various issues facing the Muslim community, while reinforcing the role of dayahs and scholars in guiding society amidst changing times.
In his remarks, Dek Fadh expressed his appreciation and respect to the ulama who continuously preserve Islamic scholarly traditions and serve as a guide for the community in various aspects of life.
“The Maulid of Prophet Muhammad SAW is not only an occasion to commemorate the birth of the Messenger of Allah, but also an opportunity for all of us to re-exemplify the character, struggle, and leadership of Prophet Muhammad SAW in our daily lives,” Dek Fadh stated.
On that occasion, Dek Fadh also expressed his gratitude for the achievements of the Aceh contingent at the 31st National Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQ) 2026 in Semarang, Central Java. Aceh successfully finished in the top four, securing fourth place—marking one of Aceh’s best achievements after a 23-year wait.
“Alhamdulillah, we just received wonderful news. The Aceh contingent managed to break into the top four at the 31st National MTQ in Semarang. This is certainly a source of pride for all of us and stands as the best achievement we have secured after waiting for 23 years,” Dek Fadh said.
According to him, this achievement was made possible through the hard work of the participants, coaches, officials, LPTQ, the Aceh Provincial Government, as well as the support and prayers of the ulama and the entire Acehnese community.
“We shouldn’t view this achievement merely as a rank. It is the result of hard work, prayers, and support from many parties. Therefore, we ought to express our appreciation to our youth, coaches, and officials who have represented Aceh on the national stage,” he added.
Dek Fadh noted that this success also serves as motivation to continually improve the development of the Quranic generation in Aceh. He emphasized that the traditions of Islamic knowledge and education that have grown strong through dayahs and Quranic educational institutions must continue to be reinforced.
“Hopefully, this achievement marks a good beginning. We want Quranic education and development in Aceh to grow even stronger, so that in the future, more Acehnese youth can excel while becoming a generation of good character who love the Quran,” Dek Fadh remarked.
Regarding the 15th Aceh Ulama Muzakarah, Dek Fadh highlighted that the forum holds vital significance for Aceh. Through the muzakarah, ulama can continuously offer perspectives, counsel, and input for both the public and the government, ensuring Aceh’s development proceeds with due regard to religious values and local wisdom.
“The Aceh Government deeply respects and needs the counsel of the ulama. We hope such gatherings will continue to be maintained, allowing the government and ulama to walk hand in hand in building Aceh and providing the best for the people,” Dek Fadh said.
Dek Fadh also called on the entire community to use the Maulid commemoration as momentum to strengthen brotherhood, preserve unity, and increase care for one another.
“May the blessings of the Maulid of Prophet Muhammad SAW and the prayers of the Ulama make Aceh increasingly safe, peaceful, advanced, and prosperous. Ulama and Umara (leaders) must walk hand in hand in development to realize an Aceh that is baldatun thayyibatun wa rabbun ghafur (a good land governed by a forgiving Lord). And may we all receive the intercession of the Messenger of Allah SAW in the hereafter,” Dek Fadh declared.
A number of charismatic Acehnese ulama attended the event, including the Leader of Dayah Bustanul Huda Abu H. Muhammad Ali (Abu Paya Pasi), Abi H. Muhammad Ja’far (Abi Lueng Angen), Waled H. Nuruzzahri (Waled NU), Tgk. H. Baihaqi (Baba Di Panton), Abah H. Zainuddin (Abah Di Sarah Teube), Abi H. Muhammad Sufi (Abi Di Paloh Gadeng), Abi Zainuddin Bayu, Abu H. Yaziz Al-Yusufi (Abu Yaziz Al-Yusufi Abdya), Chairman of MPU North Aceh H. Abdul Manan (Abu Di Blang Jrun), Abu in Julok, as well as other scholars.
Also in attendance were DPD RI Member Azhari Cage, S.IP., Head of Mental and Historical Development of Kodam Iskandar Muda (Kabintaldam IM) Colonel Arm Arief Darmawan, S.Sos., M.M., representing Pangdam IM, Deputy Regent of East Aceh Teuku Zainal Abidin, Regent of North Aceh H. Ismail A. Jalil, S.E., M.M., Chairman of DPRK North Aceh Arafat Ali, S.E., M.M., Rector of Malikussaleh University Prof. Dr. Ir. Herman Fithra, S.T., M.T., IPM., ASEAN.Eng., along with Abu, Waled, Abi, Tgk, dayah leaders, and community figures.
During the event, the Vice Governor of Aceh was accompanied by the Head of the Aceh Dayah Education Office, Muhsin, S.Pd.I., M.Pd.I., Head of the Aceh Islamic Sharia Office Dr. Misran Fuadi, S.Ag., MAP., and Head of the Leadership Administration Bureau of the Aceh Regional Secretariat, Akkar Arafat, S.Stp, M.SI.
The presence of ulama and prominent figures from various regions added to the solemnity of the Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW series and the 15th Aceh Ulama Muzakarah, while reinforcing the spirit of togetherness and brotherhood in preserving Islamic values in Aceh. (Akhyar)
