Efforts to locate six inmates who escaped from the Class II B Kutacane Correctional Facility in Southeast Aceh Regency have yet to bear fruit. As of Tuesday (4/8/2026), the six individuals remain at large and have not been recaptured.
The mass prison break occurred on Monday, March 10, 2025. At that time, 52 inmates took advantage of a moment of lax security to break out of the facility just before the breaking of the Ramadan fast.
While the majority of the escaped prisoners have since been recaptured, six individuals remain on the wanted list.
