Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf, affectionately known as Mualem, met with Indonesian Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman on Tuesday (4/8/2026). The meeting was held to advocate for the recovery of agricultural and plantation lands belonging to Aceh residents that were damaged by disasters.
The meeting and audience took place at the Agriculture Minister's residence in South Jakarta. This step was taken to demonstrate the seriousness of the Aceh Government in helping local farmers and plantation owners recover as quickly as possible.
During the discussions, Mualem sought to secure central government assistance to restore the functionality of the community's land. The rehabilitation of these paddy fields and plantations is vital to returning economic activity and food security for the people of Aceh to normal.
