LANGSA — Author Afinas Qadafi, S.H., CPM, has officially launched his latest academic work titled "State Responsibility and Transitional Justice in Aceh: Uncovering the Arakundo Tragedy and the Struggle of Gross Human Rights Violation Victims." Published by Eureka Media Aksara, the book aims to raise public awareness while demanding the government's commitment to resolving past human rights abuses in the region known as Tanah Rencong.
Through this work, Afinas highlights the Arakundo Tragedy alongside the victims' struggle for justice. Although Aceh has enjoyed decades of peace, resolving the various gross human rights violations in the region is still considered unfinished business for the state.
The publication is expected to broaden public understanding of transitional justice and the vital need to restore conflict victims' rights. The academic work also serves as a reminder to ensure that human rights enforcement in Aceh is not forgotten over time.
