Residents in several parts of Aceh Province have been advised to heighten their vigilance against extreme weather over the coming days. The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Sultan Iskandar Muda Class I Meteorological Station in Banda Aceh issued a weather early warning valid from Tuesday, August 4 to Thursday, August 6, 2026.
According to BMKG monitoring, the Aceh region has the potential to experience moderate to heavy rainfall. This severe weather is also likely to be accompanied by strong wind gusts, occurring most frequently from afternoon through evening.
BMKG Aceh forecaster Nabila stated that the extreme weather conditions are being triggered by active atmospheric waves in the region. As a result, residents are asked to remain cautious during outdoor activities and to anticipate potential hydrometeorological disasters that could be brought on by heavy rain and strong winds.
