Gampong Pande, located in Banda Aceh, continues its efforts to preserve its historical heritage while shaping the character of the younger generation. Known as a key historical site, the village employs a unique approach to safeguard local traditions and human values.
One of the key initiatives implemented is a foot-washing program, where children wash their parents' feet. This activity was introduced to instill a deep sense of respect and strengthen character development in youth from an early age.
In addition to nurturing youth character, Gampong Pande is also preparing a village museum to preserve historical artifacts and relics from the region. The museum building is currently undergoing renovations before it officially opens to showcase its various historical collections.
