Located in Banda Aceh, Gampong Pande has adopted a unique approach to preserving its historical heritage while nurturing the character of the younger generation. In addition to conducting character-building initiatives such as the tradition of washing parents' feet, this historic village is currently preparing a village museum.
The Gampong Pande Museum building is currently undergoing renovation. Once completed, the museum will exhibit various historical artifacts illustrating the region's past journey.
This initiative was undertaken because Gampong Pande is one of the most important historic sites in Banda Aceh. Through a combination of the village museum and cultural traditions, local authorities and residents hope that historical and human values will continue to be passed down to future generations.
