BANDA ACEH — Gampong Pande, recognized as a key historical area in Banda Aceh, continues its efforts to preserve its rich heritage while preparing the future of its younger generation. These efforts are being carried out through youth character building and the development of a village museum.
One unique tradition practiced in the village is a parental foot-washing program. This activity aims to instill values of humanity, respect, and filial devotion from an early age.
In addition to shaping youth character, the village administration is also preparing the Gampong Pande Museum. The museum building is currently undergoing renovation.
The museum will eventually house and display various historical artifacts. Through a combination of character education and artifact preservation, Gampong Pande hopes to keep local historical and cultural values alive amid modern developments.
