The Regional Public Water Company (Perumdam) Tirta Mountala of Aceh Besar Regency is taking concrete steps to ensure a steady supply of clean water for residents. The gradual service improvements follow a prolonged dry season that has caused a sharp decline in water flow at its main source, Mata Ie Pool.
As the drop in water levels threatens to disrupt distribution to households, management moved swiftly to find a solution. T. Abulis Samarkhan, Supervisory Board member of Perumdam Tirta Mountala, emphasized that addressing the impact of this natural phenomenon is a top priority across the company.
This tactical move aligns with instructions from the Regent of Aceh Besar, H. Muharram Idris, acting as the Capital Owner Representative (KPM). The company plans to connect main pipeline routes across various branch areas to expand the reach of water distribution.
"As a long-term solution, we are preparing the construction of an inter-branch main distribution network interconnection system," said T. Abulis Samarkhan.
