Rakyat Aceh | Aceh Besar — SDN 51 Banda Aceh emerged as champions of the Nurul Fikri Boarding School Mini Soccer Tournament after defeating MIN 20 Aceh Besar with a 2-1 score in the final match at the Dayah Nurul Fikri Aceh Mini Soccer Field, Lhang Village, Darul Kamal District, Aceh Besar, on Saturday (26/9/2026).
The victory earned SDN 51 Banda Aceh the first-place trophy along with Rp4 million in development funds.
Meanwhile, MIN 20 Aceh Besar had to settle for second place, taking home a trophy and Rp3 million in development funds.
The battle for third place was equally thrilling. SDIT Sulthan Muhammad Yasin drew 1-1 against SDIT Nurul Fikri through the end of regulation time.
The match was then decided via a penalty shootout, which was won by SDIT Sulthan Muhammad Yasin.
With this result, SDIT Sulthan Muhammad Yasin secured third place, receiving a trophy and Rp2 million in development funds. Meanwhile, SDIT Nurul Fikri finished in fourth place, receiving a trophy and Rp1 million in development funds.
Patron of the Nurul Fikri Boarding School (NFBS) Aceh Foundation, Tgk. H. Makhyaruddin Yusuf, praised the spirit of all participating teams throughout the tournament until the final match.
According to him, the competition was not only focused on winning, but was also part of the character-building process for children through sports.
“The most important thing is not just who becomes the champion, but how the children learn to fight hard, respect their opponents, cooperate, and accept the final result with sportsmanship. It is through this process that character and a winning mindset are forged,” he said.
He hopes that the Nurul Fikri Cup can continue to grow as a platform for early childhood sports development, as well as a space for children to foster their talents and potential.
“Hopefully, the experience they gained during the tournament will serve as valuable motivation to keep practicing, maintain their spirit, and achieve even greater success in the future,” he said.
The 1st Nurul Fikri Cup Mini Soccer Tournament ran from September 21–26, 2026, and featured 28 youth teams from various schools. The event carried the spirit of building a healthy, strong, and high-achieving Qur’anic generation while upholding sportsmanship and brotherhood.
Previously, the tournament was officially opened by Member of the DPR RI Commission V from the PKS Faction (Aceh I Electoral District), H. Ghufran Zainal Abidin, MA, at the same location on Sunday (21/9/2026).
Ghufran also commended the organization of the tournament as a positive outlet for the younger generation to develop their interest and talent in sports.
“Through sports, we build a healthy, strong, and character-driven generation ready to benefit the community and the nation,” Ghufran stated.
He noted that sports are not just about achievement, but also serve as a medium to instill discipline, teamwork, responsibility, and sportsmanship from an early age.
The opening of the tournament was marked by a ceremonial kickoff by Ghufran.
The senior politician from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) also greeted and encouraged the players to compete enthusiastically while maintaining sportsmanship.
Hosting the 1st Nurul Fikri Cup is part of Dayah Nurul Fikri Aceh’s efforts to promote positive activities for the youth through sports, while simultaneously instilling the values of togetherness, brotherhood, and a drive for achievement.(rao)
