The Simeulue Regency Government has received reserve disaster management logistics from the Aceh Provincial Government through the Provincial Social Services Office. The handover ceremony took place at the Simeulue Regent's Official Residence on Tuesday (Aug. 4, 2026).
In addition to the disaster logistics buffer stock, the aid package includes assistive devices for persons with disabilities as well as support for productive economic enterprises. The Chairperson of the Aceh Family Welfare Movement (TP-PKK), Marlina Muzakir, symbolically handed over the assistance to the Regent of Simeulue, Mohammad Nasrun Mikaris, after which the aid was directly distributed to the beneficiaries.
This handover program is part of the Aceh Provincial Government's strategic logistics provision. The initiative aims to enhance regional disaster preparedness while accelerating response efforts in the event of disaster impacts in the Simeulue region.
