The Aceh Besar Regency Government is moving swiftly to prepare drought mitigation measures as dry conditions begin to threaten several parts of the region. Efforts are focused on finalizing a clean water distribution strategy to ensure residents' needs are met throughout the dry season.
The emergency preparedness meeting on dry hydrometeorological disasters was led directly by the Regent of Aceh Besar, H. Muharram Idris, at the Aceh Besar BPBD Command Post in Sibreh, Suka Makmur District, on Sunday night (2/8/2026). The crucial meeting was also attended by Deputy Regent Syukri A. Jalil, Regional Secretary Bahrul Jamil, and Head of BPBD Ridwan Jamil.
These anticipatory steps were taken in response to the potential impact of the dry spell currently felt by local residents. Through this inter-agency coordination, the Aceh Besar Regency Government aims to ensure a responsive and equitable supply of clean water across affected areas.
