The Aceh Provincial Government has distributed Rp2.2 billion worth of disaster management buffer stock assistance to Simeulue Regency. The logistics were handed over directly by the Chairwoman of the Aceh Family Welfare Movement (TP PKK), Marlina Muzakir, in the lobby of the Simeulue Regent's Office on Tuesday (4/8/2026).
The presence of the figure affectionately known as Kak Na in the region nicknamed "Bumi Ate Fulawan" brought more than just disaster logistics preparedness. The Aceh Provincial Government also utilized the occasion to hand over Productive Economic Business Assistance to help foster self-reliance among local residents.
The economic support was provided in the form of sewing equipment packages and cooking supplies. Through this aid, residents are expected to start or expand independent businesses to support their daily needs.
Furthermore, care was also extended to residents with disabilities in Simeulue. A number of physical assistive devices, such as wheelchairs, crutches, and quad canes, were presented directly to facilitate the mobility of the beneficiaries.
"Alhamdulillah, today we can…," said Marlina Muzakir.
This series of assistance is expected to enhance Simeulue's resilience when facing disaster emergency situations, while simultaneously driving the local economy and community welfare.
