The APEL Green Aceh Foundation has officially brought the Nagan Raya Regency Government before the Aceh Information Commission (KIA). This public information dispute was launched because the local government failed to provide transparent access to documents regarding a colossal Rp200 trillion investment plan previously announced to the public.
APEL Green Aceh emphasized that such a massive investment figure should not merely serve as material for press conferences or media reports. According to the foundation, a mega-project of this scale carries far-reaching impacts on spatial planning, environmental sustainability, investment climate certainty, community rights protection, and the future trajectory of Nagan Raya Regency.
