Workover 2 Sumur di WK A Sukses, BPMA Bidik Tambahan Gas 7 MMSCFD

BPMA and Medco E&P Successfully Optimize 2 Gas Wells in Aceh, Boosting Potential Production by 7 MMSCFD

BPMA and Medco E&P Malaka successfully reworked two gas wells in Aceh's Block A, potentially adding up to 7 MMSCFD in gas production.

The Aceh Oil and Gas Management Agency (BPMA) has completed workover operations on two gas wells in Block A. The initiative was carried out alongside Production Sharing Contractor (KKKS) Medco E&P Malaka to boost energy supply in the region.

The workover project targeted the JR-74 and JR-38A wells. Following the optimization, both wells are estimated to contribute an additional natural gas production of up to 7 Million Standard Cubic Feet per Day (MMSCFD).

During the process, the technical team executed several critical phases. These steps included wellbore cement remediation and squeeze cementing, casing perforation, installation of a single selective completion system, and well fluid clean-up (swab well kick) to ensure a smooth gas flow.
