The appointment of the new Head of BPMA is expected to provide a positive boost to the investment climate in Aceh's energy sector. BPMA carries a major responsibility to ensure that the utilization of natural resources yields direct economic impacts for the region's progress and the welfare of the local community.

Strategic steps will be immediately drawn up by BPMA's new management in response to current upstream oil and gas industry challenges.
