SIG Prioritizes Cement Supply and Distribution Across Aceh and Sumatra

SIG President Director Indrieffouny Indra led field coordination at the SBA Lhoknga Plant to ensure a smooth cement supply in Aceh and Sumatra.

LHOKNGA — PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) has reaffirmed its commitment to prioritizing cement supply in Aceh Province while streamlining distribution flows across Sumatra. This strategic move aims to ensure that public demand for building materials and the continuity of various infrastructure development projects are met optimally and without hindrance.

This assurance was conveyed directly by SIG President Director Indrieffouny Indra while leading field coordination activities at the PT Solusi Bangun Andalas (SBA) Plant in Lhoknga, Aceh Besar Regency, Aceh. The presence of the state-owned cement producer's top executive aimed to directly ensure operational readiness and supply chain reliability in Indonesia's westernmost region.

Operational Inspection of the Lhoknga Plant

During his working visit to Aceh, Indrieffouny Indra conducted a comprehensive inspection of all facilities and operations at the PT Solusi Bangun Andalas (SBA) Lhoknga Plant. The review focused on evaluating production capacity readiness, machinery reliability, and the availability of cement stock ready for market distribution.

In addition to the physical inspection of the plant area, the SIG chief held an intensive coordination meeting with the management of PT Solusi Bangun Andalas. The primary agenda of the meeting was to align production strategies with local market demand in Aceh while identifying potential logistics bottlenecks that could disrupt supply to other areas in Sumatra.

Supporting Sustainable Development in Sumatra

As Indonesia's largest building material manufacturer, SIG plays a vital role in maintaining the reliability of the national cement supply. Guaranteeing cement availability in Aceh and Sumatra is a top priority to support the accelerated construction of public facilities, strategic infrastructure, and residential housing.

By strengthening coordination at the SBA Lhoknga Plant, SIG seeks to optimize all distribution channels, both land and sea. This supply chain efficiency is expected to maintain cement price stability in the market and ensure continuous availability for the general public and construction industry players across Sumatra.

Strengthening the Regional Supply Chain

This field coordination effort is part of SIG's ongoing commitment to strengthening synergy among its regional subsidiaries. As SIG's subsidiary in Aceh, PT Solusi Bangun Andalas (SBA) plays a key role as the primary cement production and distribution hub for northern Sumatra.

With operational readiness being monitored regularly, SIG is confident that all cement requirements for regional development projects and daily community consumption in Aceh and surrounding areas can be met evenly and on time.
