South Aceh 129th TMMD Road Opening Reaches 78 Percent, Box Culvert Foundation Completed

The 129th TMMD road opening in Kemumu Sebrang Village reaches 78 percent as work enters the box culvert concrete pouring phase.

SOUTH ACEH — The 129th Regular Village Building by Military (TMMD) Program conducted by the Task Force of Military District Command (Kodim) 0107/South Aceh continues to show significant physical progress on the ground. As of Wednesday (5/8/2026), the completion rate for opening the new road body in the target area has successfully reached 78 percent of the total planned target.

This new road access is designed to facilitate community mobility and open connectivity between supporting areas in the region. The success in achieving this physical target is inseparable from the consistency of the TMMD Task Force personnel working alongside the local community in a spirit of mutual cooperation.

Construction of the Box Culvert Foundation

In addition to opening the main road body, another infrastructure focus is the construction of a box culvert bridge. This bridge serves as vital infrastructure supporting the flow of transportation at the project site, specifically in Kemumu Sebrang Village, East Labuhanhaji District, South Aceh Regency.

The Kodim 0107/South Aceh TMMD Task Force has currently fully completed the construction of the bridge foundation structure on two vital sides: the front and rear sides. The completion of the foundation ensures the stability of the bridge's main support before moving on to the next physical stage.

Preparation for Bridge Concrete Pouring

The completion of the foundation work on both supporting sides marks an important milestone that the bridge construction work is now officially entering the next stage, namely the box culvert concrete pouring process. This casting is conducted to strengthen the main structure of the bridge so that it can withstand the load of passing vehicles in the long term.

The presence of this box culvert is crucial given its position crossing the village waterway, preventing erosion or damage to the road body when water volume increases.

Accelerating the Village Community Economy

The completion of the entire series of road and bridge infrastructure in Kemumu Sebrang Village is expected to strengthen inter-village connectivity and smooth the flow of transportation for residents in East Labuhanhaji District.

With this newly opened adequate access, local residents will find it easier to transport agricultural products and plantation commodities to central markets. This is believed to reduce residents' logistics costs, accelerate the wheels of the local economy, and drive sustainable rural development in South Aceh Regency.
