Students participating in the Community Service Program (KKN) from Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) organized the Pious Children Festival (Festival Anak Shaleh) in Gampong Cot Langien, Meureudue District, Pidie Jaya. The event, which ran from afternoon through evening on Tuesday (4/8/2026), was held with great enthusiasm.
During the festival, children confidently performed the call to prayer (azan) and recited short Quranic surahs in front of a panel of judges. The lively atmosphere was further heightened by the cheers and applause of parents and local residents who packed the venue.
Organized by the USK KKN students, the event served as a platform to enliven religious activities while fostering the confidence and skills of children in Cot Langien Village.
