The Aceh Besar Regency Government has moved swiftly to prepare anticipatory measures against the threat of drought. This dry hydrometeorological disaster has reportedly begun to impact several areas across Aceh Besar.
These preparedness measures were discussed during an Emergency Disaster Preparedness Post Meeting at the Aceh Besar BPBD Command Post in Sibreh, Suka Makmur District, on Sunday (2/8/2026) evening. The meeting was directly chaired by the Regent of Aceh Besar, H. Muharram Idris, also known as Syech Muharram.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Regent of Aceh Besar Syukri A. Jalil, Regional Secretary Bahrul Jamil, and Head of the Aceh Besar BPBD Ridwan Jamil. During the meeting, the Regent requested all Regional Government Agencies (OPD) to act quickly and coordinate closely with one another to minimize the impact of the drought on residents as much as possible.
