The Aceh Provincial Government, in partnership with PT Solusi Bangun Andalas (SBA), has taken swift action to address a cement shortage across the region. The boost in cement supply is intended to ensure that infrastructure development projects and post-disaster rehabilitation programs remain uninterrupted.
To restore market availability, PT SBA has extended the operating hours of its cement filling terminals. In addition to maximizing local facilities, extra supplies are being brought in from outside Aceh to meet the demand of the public and the construction industry.
These measures were taken following complaints from residents and construction workers regarding the low stock of cement in the field. "This action is a follow-up to the directive from Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf, who ordered that cement availability be restored immediately," said Aceh Provincial Government Spokesperson Nurlis Effendi.
