The Fugitive Arrest Team (Tabur) of the Aceh High Prosecution Office (Kejati) has apprehended a child protection fugitive identified by the initials SM. The arrest took place at a grocery store on Jalan Stabat–Secanggang, Stabat District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra, on Tuesday (August 4, 2026).
The operation to arrest SM proceeded smoothly, safely, and without resistance. The convict, who was under the jurisdiction of the South Aceh District Prosecution Office, had been on the wanted list (DPO) since 2025.
Head of the Legal Information and Public Relations Section of the Aceh High Prosecution Office, Ali Rasab Lubis, explained that SM's arrest was carried out to execute a legally binding ruling from the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia.
