TAKENGON — The Narcotics Investigation Unit (Satresnarkoba) of the Aceh Tengah Police has uncovered an illicit crystal methamphetamine distribution network operating across several districts in Aceh Province. During the operation, law enforcement officers arrested four suspects strongly implicated in the supply chain of the illegal drugs.
Uncovering the Inter-District Network
The crackdown on the drug syndicate followed extensive surveillance and deep investigation within the jurisdiction of Aceh Tengah Regency. Based on findings by the Satresnarkoba team, the crystal meth distribution network had a broad operational reach, spanning three strategic regions in Aceh Province: Aceh Tengah Regency, Aceh Utara Regency, and Lhokseumawe City.
The four suspects were apprehended in a measured raid carried out by officers in the field. The perpetrators were caught helpless as police uncovered strong evidence linking them to the inter-district supply and distribution chain. Law enforcement took decisive action to dismantle the illicit drug flow that has troubled residents in the Gayo highlands and surrounding areas.
Evidence Seized by Police
During the arrest and search, Aceh Tengah Police officers secured crucial evidence backing the suspects' involvement. The primary evidence seized included several packages of crystal meth along with drug bongs used for consumption.
In addition, officers seized a digital scale used by the suspects to weigh the drug before packaging, as well as transparent plastic clip bags used to wrap packages ready for distribution. Transaction communications were also exposed after police confiscated several mobile phones containing communication records. To complete the operational evidence, a motorcycle used by the suspects for distribution transport was also impounded at the Aceh Tengah Police Headquarters.
Police Hunt Supplier Identified as CH
Investigators from the Aceh Tengah Police's Satresnarkoba unit are intensively expanding the case. Based on preliminary interrogations of the four arrested suspects, it was revealed that the entire supply of crystal meth was obtained from a primary supplier identified by the initials CH, based in Lhokseumawe City.
Police have now placed CH on the wanted list (DPO) and are actively tracking down his whereabouts. Apprehending CH remains a top priority for investigators to completely sever the inter-district drug distribution chain and protect communities in Aceh Tengah and neighboring areas from being targeted further.
