BIREUEN — Residents of Meunasah Capa Village, Kota Juang District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, have unanimously agreed and committed to reviving operations at Dayah Madrasah Tarbiyah Islam (MTI), which had recently experienced a period of inactivity and cessation of religious educational activities.
Formation of New Management Structure and Leadership
Efforts to reactivate this Islamic educational institution in the heart of Kota Juang District were marked by the establishment of a new management board tasked with managing and developing all existing facilities and infrastructure. Following a community deliberation, Tgk Zulfahmi was officially appointed and entrusted to lead as the new head of Dayah Madrasah Tarbiyah Islam (MTI) Meunasah Capa.
The newly formed board was granted a full mandate by the local community to design the curriculum, organize the dayah's environment and facilities, and ensure the institution's organizational operations run optimally and systematically. This governance reform serves as a foundation for the sustainability of religious education and moral development in the area.
Inauguration by Religious Leaders and High Student Enthusiasm
The inauguration and reactivation ceremony of Dayah MTI Meunasah Capa was held solemnly, attended and led directly by several local religious figures and Islamic scholars (ulama). The presence of these religious leaders reaffirmed moral and religious support for the revival of the traditional Islamic educational institution in the residential neighborhood.
The initiative to reactivate the dayah immediately received a highly positive response from local residents. As evidence, during this initial reopening, the number of students (santri) enrolled and studying at Dayah MTI Meunasah Capa reached more than 100. This high level of student participation reflects the community's strong trust in the dayah's strategic role in educating the younger generation.
Community Agreement for Sustainable Islamic Outreach
The initiative to reactivate the dayah facilities stemmed from a joint deliberation among Meunasah Capa residents that began a few days ago. The strong drive across all segments of the community arose from a collective awareness of the importance of structured religious learning spaces for local children and teenagers.
The residents of Meunasah Capa fully support all upcoming stages of the dayah's development. The new management, alongside community leaders, is committed to mutual cooperation in improving, equipping, and maintaining the physical facilities and educational programs at Dayah MTI Meunasah Capa, ensuring that religious teaching and learning activities can continue consistently and sustainably over the long term.
