The APEL Green Aceh Foundation has officially filed a lawsuit against the Nagan Raya Regency Government with the Aceh Information Commission (KIA). This legal action was taken because the local government failed to fulfill a request for public information regarding documents for a mega-investment plan worth Rp200 trillion in Nagan Raya.
This public information dispute was submitted because APEL Green Aceh considers data transparency to be crucial for the public. The foundation believes the documents need to be disclosed so that the public can ensure the clarity and legal certainty of the fantastically valued investment project.
"Transparency is the main foundation of responsible investment. If the government is confident that this Rp200 trillion investment truly has a strong legal basis, planning, and commitment, then there is no reason to withhold documents that are the public's right," said Rahmad Syukur on Tuesday (4/8/2026).
Through this dispute petition at the KIA, APEL Green Aceh hopes that the Nagan Raya Regency Government will act transparently and be willing to hand over the investment planning and commitment documents to the public.
